Lawn of Flowers

This scene is right out back of our flat. There's a small stream beyond it and a lovely pond with a fountain.

Spring Has Sprung

Thatch Patch

This roof is being fixed on a house nearby.

Grantchester View

Taken a couple weeks ago on my bike ride to nearby Grantchester.

NOT a Clown Car!

Seen outside our flat. Can you believe how tiny the old Mini's are?

Staddles

These mushroomed-shaped stone things are staddles. They're mostly used decoratively in gardens now, but the first picture shows how useful they are in holding up a barn. They're also used for holding hay so rodents can't get to it. They're lovely aged stone, usually covered with moss and lichen. Ann and I saw a shop selling them so I bought one. Can't wait to get it home and in my garden.

April Fools

Well, this is really the size of my staddle!
